Somachi is a fluid contemporary Yoga style based on Vinyassa. Abbie has been practicing and teaching Somachi for 8 years.
What is Somachi Yoga?
At Somachi, the motto is : Love how you move, Feel great in what you do. The emphasis is to enjoy your body and the ability we have to move.
Soma means the Body, and Chi, means Energy.
Somachi is based on Vinyasa Yoga combining Martial Arts, Dance and Buddhist Philosophy. It works with inner and outer spatial connections embodying the spirit of shamanistic rituals from China, India and Tibet.
Somachi Yoga encourages you to develop your creativity, focus your mind and bring mindfulness into your movement and yoga practice.
The focus is on “Feeling and Sensing” the body moving through space. This awareness can then flow into your everyday life.
The sequences can be physically and mentally challenging but you will feel energised and rejuvenated.
