Summer in Phillip Island conjures up images of splashing in the sea, joining friends and family to hang out on the beach and for me it includes practicing yoga outside absorbing all the amazing energy the beach has to offer.
So join us each Friday night, weather permitting, at Smiths Beach; 6:30-9pm Fridays to participate in the Friday night Beach Flow Yoga and Picnic.
Where: Smiths Beach, Phillip Island
When: Friday 6:30-9pm over Summer
What: Flow yoga – think gentle vinyasa adapted to the group’s energy and capability, and the environment in which we will be practicing in. We will also practice meditation and pranayama, to balance the energy channels and find our ground. The practice will then conclude with a shared Vegan/Vegetarian picnic.
How: Send us an email to reserve you place. $25 cash at the event or bank transfer prior to the event.
Please bring a vegan or vegetarian dish to share with the group. BYO mat or towel, picnic gear and warm clothes to stay comfortable at the beach particularly as the body cools down and the sun starts to set (or the wind blows up).
Who: Classes taught by Abbie with assistance from visiting SomaChi teachers. Check our Facebook page for updates on visiting teachers, or any changes to times/cancellations due to weather.
Why: We believe that yoga is a lifestyle and that a healthy lifestyle includes yoga, nourishing healthy food and a wonderful supportive community. We also love our beaches here in Phillip Island and can honestly share how living on this Island, surrounded by the ocean, and co-exisiting with natural habitat and wildlife encourages a more open, grateful and joyful existence.
We wish to share this experience with other locals, holiday makers and tourists.
Connect to the ground, the environment, the breath, the body, the mind and the community.
See you at Smiths.
Abbie is teaching a special Somachi Yoga workshop at the upcoming Seven Sisters Festival, March 18-20 2016.
